Sven-Bertil Taube

Sven-Bertil Taube (born November 24, 1934) is a Swedish singer and actor. He is the son of the songwriter Evert Taube.

Sven-Bertil released his debut album in 1954 with covers of his father's songs. He has also recorded songs by the Swedish 18th century songwriter Carl Michael Bellman and the poet Nils Ferlin (1898-1961), whose poems were mostly put to music by Lille Bror Söderlundh, and others.

Sven-Bertil Taube also started a somewhat successful acting career which took him to London where he acted in theater and musicals and had a role on the television series Upstairs, Downstairs. In the 1970s, Taube tried to find work as an actor in Hollywood and had some minor roles, most notable in the 1976 World War II drama The Eagle Has Landed.

The 1980s and 1990s, he starred in a number of Swedish films and television series, while keeping alive his music career.

Sven-Bertil Taube has been married three times and has four children born in 1960, 1965, 1979 and most recently in 1994.

His son Felix was born in 1994 and is a keen tennis player. His LTA rating in the 2006W season stood at 7.1 making him one of the best tennis players in his age group.

His Dad Sven-Bertil still travels to tennis tournaments with him and can be commonly seen listening to music.
