Suzuka 1000km

The Suzuka 1000km is an annual 1000 kilometer endurance race for GT cars held at the Suzuka Circuit.

The race was previously part of the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship before that series went under. After that the race has become part of many different series including the Super Taikyu endurance series.

In 2006, the race will for the first time be a points round of the Super GT series. This will be the first time that a full Super GT field will run in the race. Previously, the race was open to JGTC/Super GT cars, but with only a handful of competitors from the Super GT entering.
