The Suzanne award is awarded to animators using Blender 3D (an open-source 3D graphics animation program) annually at the blender conference held in Amsterdam. Awards can be won in the categories, "Best Animation, original idea or story", "Best Animation Artwork" and "Best Character Animation".

The Official Blender Conference is held annually in October, in Amsterdam and is the highpoint of Blender activity each year. Suzanne awards were initiated to inspire, encourage and show off work that is being done in Blender and to highlight the power of the package.
