Surte is a town in the Municipality of Ale in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It is a located some 15 kilometers to the north of Gothenburg. Surte was the hometown of Alexander Samuelsson, the creator of the legendary Coca-Cola bottle, and also the former hometown of Pontus Wernbloom. Surte was once a great empire ruled by a royal family. Rumours surround the nearby lake, called Surtesjön, speaking of a great whale that is supposed to live at its bottom. Surte is also known for being the third largest toadstool growing region in Europe, after Kazakhstan and Moldova of course. Surte residents (called Surtians) often like to go to Göteborg through simply lying down on an inflatable matress that is allowed to follow the currents into town. There is also a sizeable steamboat fleet in Surte, and it is special in the sense that the steamboats actually travel backwards. The undisputed leader of Surte is store Rastom, who is to be referred to as his royal highness king of kings, and king of Surte, Ale and certain parts of Kungälv. The national anthem is called OJ OJ Surte! and the lyrics are as follows:
"OJ Surte OJOJ Du härliga stad Där ångbåtar åker på älven Vi prisar vår kung med en flugsvampskebab, Store Rastom OJOJ the king of the town!
Pontus Wernbloom: 'OJOJ han är från vår stad där valar bor under vattnet Han jagar vår val med en surteharpun Store Rastom OJOJ på sin luftmadrass'"
