[edit] Your edit to Wikipedia:Articles for creation - Hurri-Kane
Hi - I was going down the list of articles for creation (AFC) and found what I think is an attempt by you to create an article on Hurri-Kane. I couldn't quite figure out why it looked the way it looked until I found your signature at the bottom. If I've got the right guy, read on - if not, ignore my rambling. :-)
I think you misunderstand AFC. AFC isn't for registered users to request new articles. AFC is for UNregistered users, people who are only known to Wikipedia by their IP address, to request registered users to create an article for them, since only registered users can create new articles. We used to let anyone start entries, but it got to be a real spam problem and it's better for the encyclopedia this way.
Since you're registered, you can go ahead and create the article yourself. The easiest way is to do a search for the title you want to use - if it's not in use, you'll see a red link. Click the red link, and you'll get an edit window where you can create the article. You seem to have the format down okay, but I would find more objective references if it was mine. The tutorial is very helpful, and you'll find a link to it in the welcome message above this one. Just go for it and let the community do the rest!
Because of the way it was laid out on the AFC page, I had already declined the first three sections as non-notable before I figured out what was going on - it didn't make any sense and sometimes bored kids will put nonsense on there just to have something to do. Plus, AFC creations are usually one section, and your submission had nine. I hope that makes sense - it was like one IP address wanted an article on "Finishing Moves" and another on "Notable Feuds" and so on.
Don't let my point of view stop you from creating it yourself, though.I'll be happy to help you with formatting and technical details if you need it, but I know less than nothing about professional wrestling so you'll have to take care of the actual content on your own. You do _not_ need to go and delete the AFC content. Just leave it alone and it will get archived. No article named "Hurri-Kane" was created, so you can use that title if you like (or another if you don't).
Welcome to Wikipedia - please let me know if I can help or if you have questions by leaving a message on my talk page. See ya - Baseball,Baby! balls•strikes 01:42, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

The article appears to be cut+pasted from another site. If you believe this is not the case, please take part on the discussion linked to via the copyvio tag. Please do not remove the tag, it's considered bad form. --Oscarthecat 19:57, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sorry, I wanted to have alot if information
I don't mean to cause any problems, but the information I used I was trying hard to edit. Please don't delete the article. I put all my sources down. I'll changes things to make it look better.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Supershow (talk • contribs).
- Hi Supershow. Thanks for responding. I've posted some comments on Talk:California culture, if you'd like to discuss it there. I hope that we can work on removing the offending (copyright violation) parts of the article and develop it into something suitable for wikipedia. --Oscarthecat 20:53, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- So Oscar, Hello, I have recreated the article so It does not violate copyright. We can still wotk to making this a FA. Thanks for the feedback. This time I did not copy that person's lead. and I missed my chance to remove. AS a team, maybe we can add more informtion, an infobox, and images. I would like 14. I'm willing to wor very hard on this article. As well, I have pretty good resources. If you have more or better resources. Please add.Showmanship is the key 17:59, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rhodesians
I don't want to scare you off from Wikipedia, but this article is almost entirely a propaganda piece for white minority rule. It's full of pronouncements about the black Rhodesians made by white people seeking to justify their status. If you want to add verifiable and neutrally presented material on Rhodesia's demographics and white Rhodesian culture at Rhodesia I would welcome that, but this article is not what we're looking for. Gazpacho 03:53, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- If you have copies of the books cited in the article, I suggest that you try again from the beginning to identify the hard facts about Rhodesians, things that are true regardless of any political stance. Then try either expanding the Rhodesia article or making a new article that cites each fact to the source(s) it came from. Gazpacho 00:06, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request for GA review
I have nominated the article Lebanon for GA review, under the Geography category. I couldn't help but notice that some of the nominations had been sitting there for two weeks or more, and I really would like quick feedback. Because your name was listed in the reviewers list for Geography, I was wondering if you could do me the favor of reviewing the article. Thank you very much. [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:ImagesRayCash.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:ImagesRayCash.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 18:44, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:05040019.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:05040019.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --— Indon (reply) — 13:37, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Photo sm manitoba.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Photo sm manitoba.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.
Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Indon (reply) — 13:50, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ==Geography of North America==
Hi Supershow. Did you tag the article as FA last September? Articles are supposed to go through FAC before being tagged as FA. As you might have noticed from the comments on the talk page, the article is still very far from achieving GA status (not to mention FA, an honor reserved to one article out of 1400 approximately), and it wasn't any closer two month ago. Please remove the tag, and replace it by a B-class one. Please note also that the NA template should be a the very bottom of the article. Thanks!!--SidiLemine 16:33, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] www.freewebphoto.com images
You uploaded several images from www.freewebphoto.com claiming them to be GFDL licensed, but acording to theyr terms of use the images can't even be considered free licensed, and they are defenently not GFDL licensed as you claim. I have tagged them all as "no license", meaning they will get deleted 7 days from now unless you manage to contact the copyright holders and convince them to release the images under a free license. The images in question are: Image:Normal Nieghbors Mill.jpg, Image:Normal garden wildlife 619.jpg, Image:North cool mountain.jpg, Image:Normal fields.jpg and Image:Normal duckssunset.jpg. --Sherool (talk) 16:39, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

I though that the site was listeed under fair use sites and that the images were/are GFDL. I'm sorry, you can delete them already if their not fair use. Showmanship is the key 00:47, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
