Stimpy prepares for "Tuesday the 17th: The Unluckiest Day of the Year" by nailing a Boar's Head to the wall, under the pretense that doing so is "very lucky". Ren ridicules this, and tells Stimpy that he is a sucker, and is being "cooked up by the boar's head industry to make money off of suckers like you". Stimpy tells Ren that it is bad luck to ridicule superstition, and hits himself with a thorny rose, saying that he "Must counteract bad juju". At dinnertime, Ren tells Stimpy to fetch him a side of beef out of the meat locker, but when Stimpy gets it out, he instead takes it outside where it is stormy. Stimpy ends up gone for half an hour, and Ren goes outside to find Stimpy praying nonsensical words, using the beef as an "offering" to "Old Lady Misfortune". Ren tells Stimpy that his superstitions are ridiculous, and goes on to demonsrate his point by engaging in several humorous activities to show Stimpy that superstitions mean nothing. This results in terrible luck for Ren. Ren now thinks that superstitions are all too real, and wants to protect himself by wearing a bizarre outfit that he hopes will protect him from bad luck.
