Supermolecule
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In supramolecular chemistry, a supermolecule is a well-defined discrete oligo-molecular species formed via the association of a finite number of constituents. The concept of supermolecules (Übermoleküle) was introduced by K.L. Wolf in 1937 to describe hydrogen bonding in acetic acid dimers.
