Super Eight

The Super Eight is the name of the Massachusetts hockey tournament that determines the state champion. Both public and private high schools from the MIAA compete in this tournament. The Independent School League does not compete in the MIAA and has its own tournament
The format of the Super Eight tournament is a round-robin in which the top eight teams compete against each other.

Boston College High School was crowned state champion in 2006. It was their third Super Eight championship. They have been to the finals thirteen times.
Catholic Memorial has won the tournament the most times, winning thirteen of seventeen.
A public high school has never won the Super Eight.
