Sunshine Dizon (born July 3, 1983 in Quezon City, Philippines) is a Filipina actress. She started in show business when she was only five years old. On her teens, she became a sweetheart. Through time, she was molded into one of the greatest serious actresses of her generation.[citation needed]

She is a versatile actress who have played several characters on the television and on the big screen, the most popular characters she played was the role of Pirena and most recently the role of Bakekang.

Sunshine who started out in show business when she was just a child and her acting prowess was already noticed. She won the FAMAS Best Child Actress award for her performance in movie "Kahit Butas ng Karayom, Papasukin Ko", with the late movie king Fernando Poe, Jr. in the lead role. She was only five years old then, two years after she made her first movie, "God’s Little Children" with Charlie Davao, Daria Ramirez, and fellow child stars Bamba and Strawberry, among others.

Through the years, Sunshine continued to prove her acting mettle via more movies alongside her regular TV shows. Her exposure with GMA Network also goes way back during the days of "TGIS" where Sunshine became a mainstay. Her strong of shows with GMA continued as she did "Anna Karerina", "Kung Mawawala Ka", "Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin", "Kahit Kailan", "Daboy en Da Girl", "Bahay Mo Ba To?", "Love to Love", "Encantadia", "Etheria", "Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas", and "Captain Barbell." She also starred in the GMA mini-series "Umulan Man o Umaraw" and "Tuwing Kapiling Ka."

Sunshine has indeed bloomed not only physically but in her talents as well, Now in her 20s, she has impressed not only local audiences but an international jury as well with her versatility as an actress. Aside from winning the Star Awards Best Dramatic Actress Award for TV for her superb acting in "Magpakailanman" and the Golden Screen Awards Best Drama Actress Award for her exceptional portrayal of the fire maiden Pirena in the phenomenal GMA 7 fantasy series "Encantadia", Sunshine also bagged the international award as Best Drama Actress from Gawad Amerika (the awarding of which was held at the Cultural Pavilion of the Celebrity Center of Scientology Center in Hollywood, California on Dec. 25, 2005, also for her outstanding performance as Encantadia’s Pirena.
