Summit Middle School is a grade 6 to 8 public middle school within School District 43 Coquitlam, British Columbia.

The school was opened in 1997 by then Education Minister Paul Ramsey.

Summit Middle has a wide variety of staff and students.

The school has been overcrowded since the beginning of the school year, starting in September 2006. [1] Originally intended for 540 students, the contructors were low on budget and built the hallways 2 feet narrower than standard size. The school had about 700 students in previous years. Population density has also been a problem recently around the Westwood Plateau area.
