Summit Council for World Peace

The Summit Council for World Peace is an organization of former heads of state whose purpose is the promotion of friendly relations among the peoples of the world.
Its President, Chung Kwak, is a top leader of the Unification Church, yet it describes itself as a non-sectarian, non-religious, non-political, and non-profit entity. Leader Antonio Betancourt claims to have met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in 1994.
The organization has more recently gone under the name WIDP or World Institute for Development and Peace.

- Edward R. Schreyer, Governor General of Canada (1979-1984)

- Abdel Aziz Hegazy, Prime Minister of Egypt (1974-1975)
- Amine Gemayel, President of Lebanon (1982-1988)
- Francisco Morales Bermúdez, President of Peru (1975-1980)
- Kenneth Kaunda, President of Zambia (1964-1991)
