Summer Sonic

Summer Sonic is a Japanese summer music festival, held simultaneously in Osaka and Tokyo.

In 2006 the festival took place in mid-August and was headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park. Linkin Park played many songs including one new song code named "QWERTY" and is rumoured to be part of the new album which is supposed to be released in early 2007, but Linkin Park have kept the track listings under wraps. They also played "Reading My Eyes", an old song from the bands first release, under the name Xero. It was also the first known time Chester Bennington has performed on the song, live or otherwise.
