SummerSlam 1994 was the seventh annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view event from the World Wrestling Federation. It took place on August 29, 1994 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

  • Tatanka defeated Lex Luger(6:00)
    • Tatanka pinned Luger with a roll-up after Ted DiBiase provided the distraction.
    • For several weeks Tatanka accused Luger of "selling out" to DiBiase.
    • After the match Luger confronted DiBiase, leading to Tatanka turning on Luger and joining with DiBiase.
  • Jeff Jarrett defeated Mabel (w/Oscar and Mo)(5:45)
  • Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart in a Steel cage match to retain the WWF Championship(32:17)
    • Bret defeated Owen by escaping the cage.
    • As the cage was being set up, Vince McMahon conducted interviews at ringside with Stu Hart, Helen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Jim Neidhart and Bruce Hart about their thoughts on the match.
    • After the match, Neidhart attacked Davey Boy and then he and Owen locked themselves in the cage with Bret. Other members of the Hart family eventually climbed over the cage.

  • Leslie Nielsen and George Kennedy made a guest appearance trying to solve the mystery of The Undertaker disappearance in a parody of The Naked Gun film trilogy, of which Nielsen and Kennedy were stars of.
  • This was Randy Savage's final WWF PPV appearance.
  • This was one of the first televised events to take place at Chicago's new United Center arena which had opened only 11 days earlier.
