preparation? supplier (probably Sigma-Aldrich)? Its dissociation must be under fairly forcing conditions, because it appears to have a regular b.p. or does it boil with decomposition. You might comment that this compound is often mistaken for thionyl chloride, a S(IV) cmpd that behaves quite differently.
