Sultan Abdul Aziz of Perak

Sultan Abdul Aziz was a Sultan of Perak, a state in modern Malaysia. Raja Abdul Aziz was born in 1881. His father was Raja Muda Musa Ibni Almarhum Sultan Jaafar Muazzam Shah - a brother to the exiled Sultan Abdullah Muhammad Shah II. He became the Raja Muda of Perak in 1919 during the reign of his brother-in-law, Sultan Alang Iskandar Shah (Marhum Kadasallah) Ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris Mushiddul-Adzam Shah(Marhum Keramatullah). He became the 31st Sultan of Perak in 1938 succeeding Sultan Alang Iskandar Shah with the reigning title - Sultan Abdul Aziz Al-Mutasim Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Raja Muda Musa. He died at Lumut Rest House on 29th March 1948. He was given the post-humous title of Marhum Nik'matullah and was succeeded by Sultan Yusuf Izzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Jalil Radziallah Shah.
