Suita (吹田市 Suita-shi?) is a city located in northern Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is connected to central Osaka by Hankyu Railway's Senri & Kyoto line, the Midosuji Subway/Kita-Osaka Kyukou, and by JR's Kyoto Line. The Osaka Monorail also passes through the area, connecting the city to Osaka city, the Expo Park and Osaka Airport.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 351,887 and the density of 9,744.86 persons per km². The total area is 36.11 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1940.

  • Kansai University's main branch is hosted here. It is accessible through Kandaimae (関大前駅)station on Hankyu's Senri Line (千里線). The area directly around the university offers restaurants especially those to suit a tight budget and a large stomach, along with karaoke, a large Book Off and cheap photocopying.
  • Osaka University's main administrative campus is hosted here, right beside the Expo Park. It is accessible via the Osaka Monorail at Handaibyoinmae Station (阪大病院前駅), or via Hankyu's Senri Line: get off at Kita-senri, and it is about a 15 minute walk from there.
