Suidun

SUIDUN (Chinese, Sui-din-chen), a town of China in the province of Xinjiang. It is the residence of the governor general, and was founded in 1762 during the Mussulman rising, and rebuilt in 1883. It is a military town, with provision stores, an arsenal and an arms workshop. Its walls are armed with steel guns.
