Suhana Meharchand is a CBC Television and CBC Newsworld news anchor and host of the CBC News: Today, a national dayside news program that also airs at noon PT on the local CBC affiliate in British Columbia CBUT. Meharchand was born in South Africa and moved to Canada as a child.

Previously, Merharchand was co-host on CBC Newsworld's weekend programming. Before that, she was host of CBC's Saturday Report. From 1995-2000, Meharchand was host of the CBC's supper hour newscast on CBLT in Toronto.

She was once married to former Citytv political journalist and Toronto City Councillor Adam Vaughan, they have a daughter Mimi. Suhana Meharchand makes an annual salary of roughly 100 to 150,000 per year.
