Sue Carol

Sue Carol (October 30, 1906February 4, 1982) was an American actress.

Carol, who was Jewish, was born Evelyn Lederer in Chicago, Illinois to Caroline and Samuel Lederer. One of the WAMPAS Baby Stars, for eleven years from 1927 to 1937, she performed in motion pictures then became a successful agent.

For her contribution to the motion picture industry, Sue Carol has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1639 N. Vine Street.

She married actor Alan Ladd in 1942 with whom she had a son and with whom she remained until his death in 1964.

Sue Carol died in 1982 in Los Angeles, California from a heart attack and is interred next to Alan Ladd in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.
