Sudetendeutsches Freikorps
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sudetendeutsches Freikorps was a paramilitary fifth-columnist organisation formed by Czech German nationalists with Nazi sympathies which operated from 1938 to 1939 as part of Hitlers' successful effort to absorb Czechslovakia into the Third Reich. Members were trained in Germany before returning to Czechslovakia to attack important anti-Nazis and police. They are believed to have kidnapped and murdered hundreds of anti-Nazis and members of SOS (Stráž Obrany Státu - State defence guard). They halted their operations after the division of Czechslovakia.
