Styleray.com is a UK based fashion shopping site.
Although similar to price comparions engines, styleray is different in that the primary focus in not comparing products by price, but by attributes and features.
Price comparison works best when the items to be compared are standardized in some way, for instance a digital camera from a manufacturer (such as Canon or Sony) available from multiple retailers.
Clothing however does not best fit this approach. For instance the UK's leading high street retailer, Marks and Spencer, only sells own-brand products, therefore there is nothing to be gained from trying to search for the "best price" for a Marks and Spencer product.
However the user may wish to find other products from other retailers that are somehow comparable with the given item from Marks and Spencer.
Styleray.com allows the user to do this by providing a structured database of fashion products available from a range of online retailers.
The user can search for specific types of dresses and compare them based on their features and attributes, rather than just their price.
