[edit] Safty features of old Stutz cars.
I think 4 wheel hydraulic brakes were among the unusual safety features, but I don't have the dates at hand. David R. Ingham
[edit] V8 ?
I don't think the Stutz Motor Company made any V engines. I have only heard of straight 8s and straight 6s. Wern't DeDion and Cadillac the first to make V8s? David R. Ingham
[edit] ALM Stutz?
Can't source it, but I've heard the '28 LeMans car, piloted by Bloch & Brisson, placed 2d despite losing top gear 90min from the checkers... Trekphiler 12:07, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Pronunciation
How do you pronounce Stutz, I am asking this because I am currently trying to create a spoken article for Carl G. Fisher and an answer would be most helpfulDeyyaz 18:04, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
My father, who had owned an old one while in college, pronounced it s as in single, t as in truck, u as in us t as in truck, z as in zebra (though I am not sure that I can tell the z from the s as in single). David R. Ingham 20:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for responding Deyyaz 01:31, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
My last name is Stutz, and Americans pronounce is like "Stutts". It can be pronounced two correct ways in German: Steutz or Stootz. I say Stootz.
The "Revival Cars" section has little to do with Srutz company and should have its own article. C. C. Perez 16:03, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
