Sturno

Sturno is a small town located in the province of Avellino which is part of Campania, a region of Southern Italy often referred to as Mezzogiorno. The population is approximately 3,400 inhabitants who are called Sturnese.

The surrounding area is farmland under intense cultivation. The local farms are also known for breeding sheep and goats.

Sturno has been inhabited at least from the time of the the Greeks in 800 BC and later became part of the Roman Empire.
