Studio One was an American dramatic anthology television series, sponsored by Westinghouse Electric Corporation. It aired on CBS (which Westinghouse would buy in 1995) from 1948 through 1958. In 1954, the installment "Crime at Blossoms", written by Jerome Ross, was given an Edgar Award for Best Episode in a TV Series.
Studio One was also the program where the drama 12 Angry Men, about 12 jurors deciding a murder case, was first broadcast on September 20, 1954; it would be remade as a motion picture in 1957, starring (and produced by) Henry Fonda and nominated for three Academy Awards.
