Stuart Slater

Stuart Slater (born 1969 in Chelmsford, Essex) is a former footballer who played as a winger and forward for Forest Green Rovers, West Ham United, Celtic, Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Watford. He also represented England at under-21 and B level. Most recently Stuart has been in the limelight for his extraordinary audition on X Factor. Covering Babylon Zoo's "Spaceman", Stu thoroughly impressed Simon Cowell and co and moved on to the next round in the "Ex Sporting legends" category. Rumoured to be dating Gail Platt from Coronation Street.

After retiring from professional football, Stuart settled down with Coronation Street's Gail Platt, they are happily married and now have six children all named after where they were conceived. ('Carl'isle, Chicago, Bognor 'Regis', 'Johanna'sberg, Atlanta and Baby Bubble (West Ham))
