Stuart Blanch, Baron Blanch

Stuart Yarworth Blanch, Baron Blanch, PC (2 February 1918–3 June 1994) was Bishop of Liverpool from 1966 to 1975 when he was invested as a Privy Counsellor, and enthroned as Archbishop of York in the same year, holding the post until 1983. On 5 September 1983, he was made a life peer, being created Baron Blanch, of Bishopthorpe in the County of North Yorkshire.
