[edit] Name your images
I noticed you've uploaded Image:2933358 BG1.jpg and I thought I should turn your attention to a common error.
Please give uploaded images meaningful names. Otherwise they are difficult to track and it is hard to tell what the image is about without actually looking at it. I suggest you rename your image with an intuitive name that describes the image itself. Thanks, and good editing! —Whomp [T] [C] 21:40, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:WJAR.jpg)
|
Thanks for uploading Image:WJAR.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
While I'm here, I might as well tell you this: This talk page is becoming very long. Please consider archiving. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 20:23, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Wstq lp cw 6.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wstq lp cw 6.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image uploads
When you upload images, please don't make upload them as .JPG images, which have a low-quality...instead, please upload them as .PNG's, which are high quality. Thank you. --CFIF (talk to me) 00:42, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reply to WTCN article
(I hope I'm putting this in the right place). Hi Sam, you mentioned "it would be a good idea to link those refrences with real outside sources. You do cite where the information was found, but there are no links to confirm this." I would if I could, but the information is not available online. The Palm Beach County Library allows its patrons password access to NewsBank. I have no objection to putting up links, but they are not available to the general public. I also added the same type of information for WWHB, WEAT, WLDI, and WFTL. I planb to add more and look forward to direction.
Mike

I can't find the image at the cited page. Do I have to jump through certain hoops? If so, which ones? Morgan Wick 19:27, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WBQT
Hey, I noticed that you have been updating the WBQT page. I attend college in Western Mass and I was wondering what the latest was on that station becoming a CW affiliate. I really want to see various shows on the new merger and am hoping that WBQT will revert to it. Any latest word?
Thanks.
It just so happens that WBQT may become a CW affiliate. this section taken from the actual article: "August 14, 2006 when promos for the new network began airing during commerical breaks during Daytime WB and primetime slots (as well as removing the WB bug with the CW bug and lower thirds for most of the day" On another note, I have no idea who you are so in the future, after writing comments on my talk page, please sign your name. Thanks. Sam 23:09, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A note on MNTV affiliates' infoboxes
Instead of putting "Was UPN/WB until 9/06" under "affiliations", I would highly suggest putting this info under "former affiliations" (as "UPN (1995-2006)", for example). This would achive a more uniform look for all of the infoboxes. Thanks. —Whomp t/c 16:13, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you
Your upload of Image:Kasw_cw.gif is one of the best things that ever happened to KASW. I rewrote most of the article in the past months, rewriting some of the confusing stuff. I'll edit the article to say CW the night of the 17th and to swap the CW and WB logo positions, all of that. I can't wait to dig in, I might even watch the first new program on the 20th.

[edit] TV Template
Hello. I have just deleted MNTV Maine, which you created. It was a duplicate of Template:MNTV Maine, so I thought you may have created it in error. Let me know if you had other plans for it and want it back. Kind regards, RobertG ♬ talk 07:33, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Station Branding Names
Placing these tags in the introduction paragraph of articles is redundant when they can be found within the Infobox. Please stop changing them. And, also, please stop adding a -TV suffix onto the call letters of stations that don't use them (i.e. WCAU, WVIT, WFXT). Rollosmokes 05:55, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use problem with Image:WCBI WeatherCheck.PNG
I notice you uploaded the image Image:WCBI WeatherCheck.PNG with the {{Logo}} fair use image tag. However, it appears that this tag is totally unrelated to the content of the image, and as a result it may qualify for speedy deletion. Image:WCBI WeatherCheck.PNG has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why Image:WCBI WeatherCheck.PNG can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the {{Logo}} tag that you have placed on it with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{fairusein|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can reupload it but please ensure you place the correct tag on it. However, you must not remove the speedy deletion notice. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. --Jesse Viviano 10:00, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
