Stronghold, California

Stronghold, California is in Modoc County near the Oregon border. Its coordinates are 41°54′20″N, 121°24′31″W at 4,036 feet elevation. Probably named for Captain Jack's Stronghold at the nearby Lava Beds National Monument.
