Stroncone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Terni in the Italian region Umbria, located about 70 km southeast of Perugia and about 8 km south of Terni. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,698 and an area of 71.4 km2.[1]
The municipality of Stroncone contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Vasciano, Aguzzo, Finocchieto, and Coppe.
Stroncone borders the following municipalities: Calvi dell'Umbria, Configni, Cottanello, Greccio, Narni, Otricoli, Rieti, Terni.
