[edit] The show
- For more infomation, see the main article.
The show works by having four judges: Craig Revel Horwood, Arlene Phillips, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli, judging each couple out of ten after each performance. When all the couples have danced, they are inserted onto the leaderboard, where the highest ranked couple will get the highest amount of points available, and the lowest ranked couple getting one point.
On the second show of the night, once the viewers votes are in, the points from the leaderboard are added to those created by the viewer votes to find the two lowest ranked couples, and the lowest ranked couple go home.

[edit] Trivia
- In week 1, the male celebrity couples danced for the judges and the public vote, while the female celebrity couples performed a group dance. In week 2, this was reversed. From week 3, all couples were marked against each other.
- Georgina Bouzova, was late replacement for Gabby Logan, who was barred from taking part by ITV to save her for rival series Dancing On Ice.
- Louisa Lytton and Vincent Simone scored the first 10 vote in the series in week three for their jive. It was given to them by Bruno Tonioli.
- In week 5 , Mark Ramprakash and Karen Hardy's performance had to be called to a halt after Karen's dress became caught in Mark's microphone. The pair pleaded to have another try. Bruce's response was "This is live television, this is what it's all about!" as one stagehand ran behind him to help the couple. The pair were allowed to dance again and received four '9' votes from the judges, which was the highest score of the night.
- The highest judges score of the series so far is 37. This was achieved in week 7, by Matt Dawson and Lilia Kopylova for their waltz; then by Emma Bunton and Darren Bennett in week 9, once for their waltz and again for their paso doble.
- In week 8, all remaining couples had to take part in a showdance, which was not marked by the judges.
- From week 9, every couple has to perform two dances; one ballroom and one latin.
- By the end of week 9, Matt Dawson, Louisa Lytton and Emma Bunton had scored 10's. Mark Ramprakash is the only remaining celebrity contestant not to have received a '10' from the judges.
- In the results show of week 10, the two couples with the lowest combined score had to perform a "dance-off" for survival. However, it was possible for viewers to calculate the points combination that each couple received beforehand, and the result was actually unaffected by the dance-off.
- In week 11, all remaining couples will perform an Argentine Tango in addition to their own ballroom/latin dance.
