StreetGangs.Com, is a website created by University of Southern California senior, Alex Alonso in 1995 devoted to the geography, history and societal root causes of street gangs in Los Angeles. For the first three years the web site was hosted on a university server until 1998 when it was given its current domain name.
According to Alexa and Google web statistics, StreetGangs.com is the most visited website on the topic of gangs, hip hop, and urban culture and it has been featured on BET, VH-1, PBS, MTV and many local networks. StreetGangs.com has also been involved in the production of several documentaries on the topic of gangs.
