Street credibility

Street credibility (or "street cred") is a term that describes a person's reputation. Street credibility differs from the usual definition of "credibility" in that street credibility is earned through behaviors and attitudes that are frequently considered antisocial or criminal.
Activities or behaviors which can enhance street credibility:
- Committing a crime - Hiding the evidence of a crime committed by somebody else - Refusing to speak to law enforcement officers about crimes, whether committed by yourself or somebody else - Defending the honor of your club/gang/set
Activities or behaviors which can reduce or destroy street credibility:
- Lying to or stealing from your friends/associates - Homosexual activity - Snitching
