Stream International, which deals in Technical Support and Customer Services outsourcing, currently employs over 12,000 employees world-wide at about 20 call centres. ECE(Held by HIG Capital) has spent the last few years buying up competing outsourcing companies, such as Stream in 2004. In this take over ECE was assimilated into Stream and Stream's catch phrase became "Exceptional Customer Experience" (the original title of ECE).

Originally founded as an adjunct service for a large software reseller in 1983, Stream began working as an independent revenue-generating division in the mid-1990s. Since then, Stream has provided support for tens of millions of customers worldwide, with a focus on blue-chip companies. Stream currently manages more than 45 million contacts a year via voice, e-mail, and chat support.

One such call center is located in downtown Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is the number one employer of Glace Bay and currently employs about 1400.

Another such center is located in the city square of Watertown, New York, America. It also used to be a Woolsworth store, but it went out of business and Stream now uses it to conduct calls for Sirius satelitte radio, Samsung, and Tom Tom GPS.

Located in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Stream is one of the number one employers in the city. Various companies, (Dell Canada, HP, Fujitsu, Road Runner, and Western Digital) technical support are outsourced at this location.

Located in London, Ontario, Canada, Stream employs about 1400 people. Stream London participates in a wide variety of community-based events, including local charities, schools and non-profit organizations.
