Stravinsky-petrushka-fanfare.png (8KB, MIME type: image/png)

Fanfare from Igor Stravinsky's ballet Petrushka. Image made with Sibelius and the GIMP.

I'm not sure if this should be considered fair use or PD--if the music itself is PD, then I'm happy to release the image into the PD as well. As far as I know, however, Petrushka was not published until the 1940s (I may be wrong), in which case I guess we have to use it under fair use (which I would think we can, since its a very small excerpt of a much larger work, and one often used to demonstrate bitonality by writers, teachers and so on).

To the uploader: this tag is not a sufficient claim of fair use. You must also include the source of the work, all available copyright information, and a detailed fair use rationale.
