Tropical Storm Dean was a weak tropical storm that formed during the 1995 Atlantic hurricane season. Forming in late July of 1995, Dean moved westward across the Gulf of Mexico where it became a 45 mph tropical storm before making landfall near Freeport, Texas on July 31. After landfall, the storm weakened and dissipated on August 3.
Dean produced heavy rainfall across southeast Texas. The rainfall caused localized flooding that left moderate damage. However, despite the flooding, there were no reported fatalites or injuries as a result of Dean's impact.
