Storm In a Teacup is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from the disc Mars from their 2006 double album Stadium Arcadium. The song has a heavy funk sound to it, making it one of the heaviest songs in the double album. "Storm In a Teacup"'s sound returns back to the "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" era when the band's sound was heavy funk, with lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis rapping. Since Kiedis' singing style has now changed from rapping to singing, he is reported to dislike playing this song live. A prime example of this change in style is when the band now perform Give It Away, an unmovable part of their concerts, in contrast to their performances back in 1991.

[edit] Trivia
- Early on in the song, Anthony Kiedis says "Heavens to Murgatroid!", which is a catch phrase of cartoon character Snagglepuss.
- The chant in between lines of the verses is simply the gibberish "Rootay Wootay Gitta Gotta Gootay", according to the official Guitar Tablature book. This is contrary to the belief that it is in homage to the Wu Tang Clan by chanting "Wu Tang, Wu Tang, It's a kinda cool thang."
