Storm Saxon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Storm Saxon is the fictional Aryan hero of a science fiction television show that forms an occasional backdrop in the Alan Moore and David Lloyd comic book (later graphic novel and also film) V for Vendetta.
Storm's love interest is the blue-eyed blond Heidi, and his opponents are 'black cannibal filth' burdened with lines like "Leroy! Look out! De white debil got him a Laser-Luger!!" In its theme of taking the implicit or explicit racial prejudice and lurid sexual fantasies endemic in early to mid 20th century science fiction to extremes, Storm Saxon strongly echoes Norman Spinrad's novel The Iron Dream.
In the film, The Storm Saxon Show can be seen being played at the BTN television station. In the film version, Storm Saxon is played by Chad Stahelski and there is reference to a new character named "Laser Lass" (played by Antje Rau). Despite the changes, the imagery the show conveys is the same, as Laser Lass is portrayed as a blond-haired blue-eyed Aryan girl, who seems to have black, Middle Eastern or homosexual opponents who must be overcome. Also in the film, a BTN security guard threatens to "go Storm Saxon" on V.
Just as the initials of Norsefire match those of the National Front, Storm Saxon's are "SS" matching those of the Schutzstaffel, which used lightning runes as its symbols.
