The 2000 Demo is a demo tape by ProjectX, a temporary moniker of Stone Sour, recorded in 2000 at SR Audio in Iowa.
This recording from Stone Sour features five tracks, many of which were re-recorded, with "Blue Study" being used on their self-titled album, Stone Sour, in 2002, while "Your God" and "Scars" were re-recorded for their sophomore album, Come What(ever) May in 2006. "Devil's Fruitcake" was also re-recorded during the Come What(ever) May sessions, and became the unreleased "Fruitcake".
It was decided after this demo that the songs were of sufficient quality, that it was worth re-forming Stone Sour.
