Stomatology

Stomatology is an international training course in specialised medicine recognised in the European Union. It requires a minimum of 3 years' university training beyond the medical degree (MD).
This specialty is defined within Europe under the Medical Directive 2001/19/EC (Official Journal of the European Communities L 206, 31.07.2001).
Stomatology concerns the study of the mouth and its diseases. It is also generally taught as part of a dental degree.
