When Eric's parents take away the Vista Cruiser, Kelso borrows his cousin's car which has unfortunately been reported to the police as being stolen.
[edit] Plot summary
January 21st 1977 Friday afternoon Eric comes home after accidentally backing into a hydrant leaving a scratch on his car. Red comes out and asks to have his keys telling him he won't get them back until he acts more responsible. Kelso borrows his cousin Sully's car and the guys drive around town with it. It's revealed that it's a car that Sully borrowed it from someone else and the cops show up.
Meanwhile Donna and Jackie are starting to spend more time together. Jackie reveals that she has yet to have sex with Kelso, but she has it all planned out. Midge is going to take a class on female empowerment which Bob is really opposed to because he's not going to get a hot dinner. Bob tries talking to Donna and she tells him that she agrees with Midge that it's not that important to be defined by a man anymore, which Bob clearly doesn't understand. Kitty tries to convince Red that she shouldn't be so hard on Eric and he tells her that the world is a tough place and Eric needs to learn that.
In the interrogation room the gang gets one phone call. Kelso decides to call Jackie because her dad's a lawyer and she's got a checkbook. Jackie is really happy and tells him that when he gets out she is going to finally have sex with him for the first time. Hearing the news he immediately is excited and hangs the phone up. The guys are upset at him, so Eric decides to try to talk to the cops outside. Once he comes out another cop comes in and tells the cop talking to Eric that a guy named Sully did borrow it from his grandma, but she mistakenly reported it stolen. He lets Eric know that all charges have been dropped and he is free to go home.
When coming home Red tries to apologize for being so hard on him about the car, but the only words he can get out are, "Here's the keys." Then the scene cuts to Jackie and Kelso who have sex for the first time.
