Stojan Jankovic

Stojan Janković (? - 1687 in Herzegovina) was a leader of Dalmatian Serbs in the 17th century, uskok, a military officer of the Republic of Venice and life-long fighter against Ottoman Turks. Son of another great uskok, Janko Mitrović and a main character in many Serbian epic poems. He was killed in a battle with Turks in 1687 in Herzegovina.
