Stocznia Gdynia SA

Stocznia Gdynia SA is a shipyard, located in the port of Gdynia, Poland. In 1970, workers of Stocznia rised up against the ruling Polish Communist Party because of an increase in the price of food. About 20 people died fighting with army and police in the streets of Gdynia. That fact had a great influence on creating the Solidarity in 1980.
