Stockport is a village in Morgan County, Ohio, along the Muskingum River. As of the 2000 census, the village population was 540.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there are 540 people, 227 households, and 145 families residing in the village. The population density is 631.8/km² (1,614.8/mi²). There are 253 housing units at an average density of 296.0/km² (756.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 95.00% White, 2.04% African American, and 2.96% from two or more races. 0.74% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 227 households out of which 33.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.6% are married couples living together, 16.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.7% are non-families. 33.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.38 and the average family size is 2.99.
In the village the population is spread out with 26.3% under the age of 18, 10.0% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 82.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 80.9 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $22,054, and the median income for a family is $26,000. Males have a median income of $26,875 versus $13,375 for females. The per capita income for the village is $10,314. 39.6% of the population and 27.8% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 54.7% of those under the age of 18 and 12.1% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
