FFA: Food For America Stockdale's Future Farmers of America dedicates a full day to brining in outside elementary school children to educate them on the agriculturaly rich history and economy of Bakersfield and Kern County. Hundreds of children are greeted by Maverick the Mustang and enter Mustang Field for food, fun, games and learning.

Homecoming Week Stockdale's Homecoming week occurs once a year around October and sometimes in late November. The Homecoming football game is played that Friday and consists of a number of events culminating the week of festivities. The Saturday prior to the start of the school week plays host to the Homecoming Dance: Black and Silver. Monday through Thursday are dedicated as spirit days and assigned a dress-up theme. Themes have included: Western Day, Twin Day, Backwards Day, Emo vs. Bling Bling Day, Class Color Day, and many other wild and outlandish days. Friday is always reserved for Black and Silver Day. Along with noon activities and games, the school is filled with club and sport sponsored activity. Homecoming Floats are another staple of Mustang Homecoming. Each year, a theme is selected. Past examples include Cereals, Cartoons, Cities, and others. Each class selects a theme corresponding with the overall theme and builds a float to be displayed at halftime of the Homecoming game. At the homecoming game, the floats are judged and the winning class is announced. Of course, Stockdale has a Homecoming Court composed of four to five senior Males and Females nominated by the staff and voted upon by the students. Halftime of the game sees the presentation of the court in Mustang Convertibles from the community and the previous years King and Queen crown the new Royalty on the fifty yard line.

Spring Fling Week Spring Fling Week is the week with the Sadie Hawkins Dance and is celebrated with basketball games, noon activities, dressup days, and the dance.

Red Ribbon Week A national movement is visible on the Stockdale campus to raise awareness for anti-smoking needs.

  • Winter Formal- This yearly dance is the highlight of the dances for the majority of the school. Held every year at the Kern County Fairgrounds, the Winter Formal is natuarlly a formal affair romantically themed. From Arabian Nights to Spanish Romance to Winter Wonderland, this dance is open to all Stockdale students and promises to be an unforgettable night. Formal Royalty is also crowned at this event.
  • Sadie Hawkins Dance- This role reversal is held every spring and the girls are invited to ask the boys!
  • Junior/Senior Prom- This culmination dance invited the upperclassmen to celebrate the end of end. A more exciting theme than Winter Formal, previous dances have been Candyland, Pirate's Prom, Mardi Gras, and others.
