[edit] Warning about Fraternity chapter pages
Hello. I am glad to see your interest in the WikiProject Fraternities and Sororities Project. Not to send you into orbit, but beware that consensus is against chapter articles, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chi Delta. Personally, I have not solidified an opinion. Thanks for your interest in writing articles about Beta Theta Pi but I am sincerely against articles on any indivdual chapters of any fraternity or sorority. Almost all lack notability to warrant and article, if there is sufficient notability then it is included in the fraternity's article (like "blah blah chapter founded in blah is the blah blah fraternity's first west coast/international chapter). This is akin to writing an article about every McDonalds or Starbucks location and fails WP:NOT. See the part about "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information." Please don't construe my resistance to your project as personal attack. I actually admire your zeal and your work (Zeta Tau Chapter of Beta Theta Pi is really well written) but I believe it is misplaced due to a lack of understanding of the notability guidelines of wikipedia. We're just talking about NPOV or vanity or original research. I can write a well written article about a lead singer I have seen in an opera production, I can be impartial and all that but in the end, if it doesn't pass WP:MUSIC it would be deleted. [edit] SLU - College World Series
I'd like to re-add the mention of SLU's 1965 College World Series appearance - it's not redundant. This year we made our first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1966, but in 1966 we did not make it to the College World Series, which is the culmination of the NCAA Tournament - college baseball's equivalent of the Final Four. We did make it to the College World Series in 1965, which is the last time that happened.
