I remembering hearing this mentioned during a Buffalo Sabres broadcast shortly after they acquired Heinze. I believe the reasoning was that the Bruins felt a "joke" name/number combination like "Heinze 57" would be detrimental to the team's image, or something like that. I'd love to find something to back it up. Any help? --Skudrafan1 20:16, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
