i've heard that steve clark played in a few local/garage type bands before def leppard, but i'm pretty sure these were bands that played other bands' songs. the kind of bands that do a gig on someone's carport here, a gig in someone's backyard (or frontyard) there...

Steve Clarke was not the one that commited suicide it was Phil Collen

Phil Collen is still alive. Panastasia 19:56, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

And he didn't commit suicide either, his death was accidental.
