Chen is born in Taiwan, so I'm placing him under the Taiwanese American category. Oh...the page also need some sources! =D Jumping cheese Contact 10:04, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Does Chen qualify as a Chinese Americans? Chiang has never stated that he was Chinese American (as far as I know), so labeling him Chinese might touch upon the whole "pan-green" and "pan-blue" political issue again. I believe the best policy is to categorize people from Taiwan that emigrated over to America as Taiwanese-American, unless the person otherwise states so.
Removing catergory. ^_^ Jumping cheese Contact 03:37, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, unless the person explicitly rejects being identified with "Taiwanese-Amerian". Keep in mind that contemporary politics is not over whether Taiwanese islanders are "Taiwanese" but whether they are also Chinese in ethnicity and citizenship. So there's really no controversy over being labeled Taiwanese. A-giau 21:51, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
