Talk:Steam car
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The efficiency figures for a steam-powered car are questionable - compare the efficiency figures given in the Steam Engine article. When quoting figures, a verifiable source should always be given so that the figures can be checked.
...without addons. With addons... What does the author mean by addons? This needs to be explained or dropped, IMHO. For example, if a condensor for a steam engine is considered an addon, then I would argue that electronic fuel-injection (as opposed to a mechanical carburetor) should be considered an addon as well. [edit] Ted Pritchard
Why not mention Ted Pritchard and his steam car?
- Why not indeed - who is brave enough to tackle it? (wish you people would sign and date your comments)--John of Paris 18:32, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't know if this can really be described as "the first step in independent transport". It was built for the French army for dragging cannons around. Not the sort of thing in/on which you would take your girl out for a joyride.
