The Steyr Mannlicher M-Series and S-Series are modern semi-automatic pistols. Produced by the firm Steyr Mannlicher in Mannlicher, Austria, the M and S series use a polymer or plastic frame for the receiver, but machined metal slide and barrel, similar to the Glock and other manufacturers pistols.

New features in the M and S series include an integrated key trigger lock.

While the Steyr M-series pistols are frequently compared to Glocks (especially as they're both polymer-framed pistols, with Tenifer finishes), there are several significant differences in the construction of both. For instance, the M-series has a fully supported chamber, unique triangular sights, and a different grip angle (111 degrees).
